This installation was made in close collaboration with Danish musician Mikkel Almholt in 2020-23, and was first presented at the music venue Radar in Aarhus, Denmark in October 2023.
The installation consists of 12 pairs of little robots and speakers that seem to enter into some kind of dialogue, and the whole room pulsates between a busy, jittery, bright "daylight" mode, and a calm, immersive, subconscious "night-time" mode.
While building the installation we had a lot of conversations about opposites - bright/dark, tiny/huge, busy/calm, individual/collective, natural/artificial, organic/synthetic - that probably seeped into the work in some way.
